This morning work began on the extension of the car park between Llibertat Street and Avenida del Norte. This is an initial phase consisting of the demolition of various buildings and facilities already owned by the City Council, which have been delayed because asbestos was found on the roof of the facilities. The Tourism council of the city continues its advertising campaign #AsómateaCalpe with the aim that tourists who traditionally visit the city do not "forget" Calp. The campaign aims to show all that is waiting for the people who will choose Calp as their destination when the health crisis is over.
The title of the campaign is “Asómate a Calpe, te esperamos con los brazos abiertos” (Come to Calp, we await you with open arms)

The Casa de Cultura de Calp will open its doors next Tuesday to offer the library and study room service. The opening hours of the Casa de Cultura are from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 19.30. In order to comply with safety regulations, the City Council for Culture has prepared an action protocol this week.
A security screen will be installed at the reception and at the counter, and the staff of Casa de Cultura will wear individual protection screens and masks. In addition, disinfectant gel dispensers will be set up at the entrance to the Casa de Cultura and the library.
The city council held a meeting this morning. Among the decisions taken was the temporary transfer of the weekly market from Saturday 23 May to the Plaza Mayor. With this change, and after examining various possible locations, the necessary security measures will be in place.
