La Manzanera is one of the most unique enclaves in Calpe. It is a residential area designed in the 1960s by Ricardo Bofill's architectural office and is unique from a landscape, architectural and environmental point of view.

Last Saturday, Lucía Pérez Arévalo and Ariadna Serra García were elected queens of the Calpe Festival 2019 during a gala attended by some 2,000 people. The election took place by means of a drawing; the queens of the previous year, Lucía Tensa and Sandra Simarro, drew the names of the 18-year-old and 8-year-old candidates respectively.

The Calpe Department of Tourism has published a new postcard dedicated to Calpe with the aim of promoting the tourist attractions of the municipality. The new card bears the logo "Enjoy Calpe" and has 19 images with the different tourist resources of the town: gastronomy, beaches, heritage, festivals, outdoor sports, nature, hiking, trade ...

These are prepaid cards with a B rate, which allows its shipment to European countries. A total of 1,000 cards have been published and printed by the Post Office and will be distributed at tourism fairs and tourist information offices.

The Mayor of Calpe, Ana Sala, accompanied by Ana Perles, Councillor for Health, travelled today to Alicante to meet Encarna Llinares, the Regional Government Commissioner for Health. The aim of the meeting is to find a solution to the problem of patient transport in Calpe.

Banys de la Reina

Every Tuesday during July and August, the Calpe City Council has organised tours to the Roman archaeological remains of the "Banys de la Reina". These are free guided tours, led by the archaeologist Alicia Luján, who will explain the history and important details of the find.
